We've enhanced our image handling system to ensure better reliability and quality for your website uploads. These changes focus on supporting the most web-friendly image formats while preventing common issues that led to poor-quality conversions or upload failures.
New Supported Formats
We now accept three primary image formats:
Why We Made These Changes
Previously, we accepted a wider range of formats like TIFF and PDF, attempting to convert them to JPEG files automatically. While our conversion tools were industry-standard, they sometimes produced unpredictable results or low-quality images. By focusing on web-optimized formats, we can ensure consistent quality and reliability.
Enhanced File Validation
We've also implemented stronger file validation. Simply changing a file's extension (for example, renaming a TIFF file to .jpg) doesn't actually convert the file to that format. Our system now checks the internal structure of uploaded files to verify they truly match our supported formats.
Feedback Welcome
As always, we value your input. If you encounter any unexpected behaviour with these new image-handling procedures, please let us know.
