I have a selection of artistically created giftware in this little hidden gem of a gift gallery…stained glass, art dolls, small paintings, wood burned pictures, and so on.

I have a painting in the Vancouver Salon at the FCA that runs from June 17th to July 8th followed by the Abstracted Show which runs from July 8 to the 28th. I had 3 of my paintings accepted into the Abstracted Show. The painting above is called " The Lonely Pear".

I have one seascape and one abstract in the “Summer Showcase” exhibit at @gallery1710_sdag from Nov 24-Dec17. This exceptional exhibit and sale features some of the works from the just-finished “Oil and Water” juried show, plus many new vibrant paintings, drawings, sculptures and multi-media works. Gallery open Friday-Sunday from 12-4!

Artist in Residence at L'Aromas Bakehouse and Coffee Roastery from March 2022 to current. I have over 25 pieces of art decorating the walls of the large and beautiful space of L'Aromas. Be sure to venture into the billiards room to see more abstract art on display.

My little sculpture, Silenced, received Honorary mention on 150th Open Juried Exhibition organized by Ontario Society of Artists.

Creating this little sculpture, I had in mind the suppression of women in general, but specifically during all recent changes in Afghanistan. To me, it is very difficult to imagen life with all the restrictions women face there in daily life. The hand over the mouth is firmly attached by very strong, difficult-to-remove, rusted nails. It indicates the old, powerful force not allowing for any liberty, rights and freedom. Antique pearls shows that suppression is reaching poverty or wealth.

The exhibition is divided into two panel sizes: 10 x 10-inch and 24 x 24-inch. To find a panel by a particular artist, you can search by their name. To see only certain types of art (ie. photography, black and white, abstract, collage, landscape, sculptural, etc.), you can 'filter' using a drop down menu at the top of the page to isolate those works in that category.

Converge will be on view at Bridgette Mayer Gallery from Tuesday, June 11 to Saturday, August 3, 2024. This year marks our largest Benefit Exhibition yet, with almost 300 available artworks from local, national, and international artists.

The Benefit is an incredible opportunity to purchase high-value artwork at a great price, while supporting our nonprofit partners!

This year, we are proud to support HelpUsAdopt.org and the Dina Wind Art Foundation. 30% of all proceeds from artwork sales will go directly to these nonprofits, and will help provide grants to families undergoing the adoption process and to emerging Philadelphia artists.

Mark Stevenson's 'Water Watcher' will be displayed in a year-long show on the waterfront in Olympia, WA. A celebration will kick off the show at Percival Landing July 13, 4-8PM.

Judith is interested in the potential for interactions between Art and Science. She and partner Mike enthusiastically support the endeavors of the Perimeter Institute, Waterloo, Ontario. Eight of Judith's paintings have been accepted into the Perimeter Institute's art collection and installed in various venues within the Perimeter.

I will be painting at a location in or near Steveston BC with 150 other artists of all levels. It will be a speed event and I will not know my location ahead of time! Painting in the morning, framing my piece and meeting the show entry deadline.

Mosaic Festival is a community arts and culture festival on the August long weekend produced by Ptarmigan Arts that celebrates the diversity of the land we live on and the people who inhabit it.

The festival features performances by local and regional artists, workshops and demonstrations in various artistic disciplines, and nature-based programming.

The Kitty Coleman Annual Art and Bloom is one of our favourite attractions, bringing together a spectacular 24-acre venue, dozens of talented artists working in many genres and a panorama of colour and visual delight courtesy of the 3,500 rhododendrons that grace the site

I have been invited to show my work in the lovely lobby and restaurant area of the hotel for the month of September.

Come visit 30+ of South Delta’s best local artists and artisans who will have their creations on display in this beautiful outdoor setting. Kirkland House in Ladner will also feature food trucks and live music for your entertainment between 10am and 4pm.

Art and Lichen, what’s not to like?
Activate your senses with artist Andrea K. Lawson and naturalist Katherine Darrow as we explore, observe, and sketch the microworld of lichens in the Pioneer square area of Seattle. We’ll meet at Core Gallery where you will have the opportunity to view Andrea’s lichen inspired Symbiotica art exhibit. Andrea and Katherine will demonstrate a few nature journaling tips and spend a short time looking at lichen samples, learning what makes them unique. We will then venture forth in search of lichen on city sidewalks, buildings, rocks, and trees. We’ll observe and notate their color and shapes in our sketchpads and create our own mini field guides and lichen color palettes. Find new ways to see and appreciate the beauty of these tiny organisms found growing in unexpected and seemingly hostile places!

Leisurely walk/easy pace. No previous art or lichen experience necessary.
We will provide: mini art painting kits, lichen bingo cards, field guides to share, art journal starter guides.
Suggested optional supplies to bring:
Water bottle, your favorite sketchbook, drawing/painting tools,: simple as a pencil and pad or more complex with watercolors, brush, pens. Also useful: a small magnifying glass, sunhat, a pad or portable folding stool to sit on.
Andrea’s solo show includes textured prints which speak of the symbiotic nature of lichen and how lichen relate to our human exhistance. My painting the " Prayer Plant" has been selected as a finalist in the Best of Acrylic Art Competion. A special Edition of the Artists Magazine with all the competition winners is scheduled to hit the newsstands in September 2024.

This self guided home studio tour is so unique. I will be at the above venue at Kay McCormack's Place. We are 6 minutes from Sherwood Park on a charming acreage. Kay does beautiful soapstone and will have new pieces there. Come early to get be picks. I will also have some agate and an old window or two to show what is coming up at the Christmas Market and Fall Show with the ASSC

Showing as the feature artist in the After Hours Gallery in the U of A Hospital. Located right at the front entrance across from the McMullen Gallery. This will feature new pieces in Mixed Media.

This Christmas Market typically has one of the best selections of quality handmade products, many many positive feedbacks

I will be teaching a course on Mixed Media.

Many have asked if I do lessons and classes. Yes I do! This is a workshop in the Mixed Media that I do. Plus we will take its bit further! Registration opens for this class on August 5 on the ASSC website. Don't worry there are other plans for future workshops and classes but I am unable to reveal them to you yet.

Calling all Westman Region Artists ages Eleven (11) to One Hundred Eleven (111)! This is your call for entries to the 46th Annual Westman Region Juried Art Show being held 27 April in Reston, MB. There are 3 categories - Youth (ages 11-13), Youth (ages 14-19) and Adult (age 20+). Transport of artworks from Brandon to Reston can be provided.
