Terrie is delighted to teach Book Binding with a Coptic stitch, because she loves to pass on the old art that began in the 1600's by the Monks.
She will teach you how to create a 48 page rounded corner watercolour Journal, from start to finish. how to create your own 48 page Journal, First you start with creating your covers of your book with her hand made tissue papers. She has made

The Harrington Gallery is excited to welcome back the “Flora in Focus” group exhibition from January 10 until March 7, 2026. Featuring approximately 100 works of various mediums, 13 local artists will take part in this floral-themed show for the third year in a row at the Harrington Gallery. Working in acrylic, watercolor, East Asian brush painting, gouache, oil, colored pencil, and glass, the diversity in materials will be reflected in the varied portrayals of floral subjects. Emphasizing the beauty and wonder of flowers, the exhibition showcases the artistry of each artist in each of their representative mediums.

Meet the participating artists at the exhibition reception on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. at the Harrington Gallery. Light refreshments and raffle prizes will be provided at the event. Collaborative floral ikebana arrangements by Library and Recreation instructor Cindy Ting and her students will also be featured at the gallery during the week of the reception. Each floral display will be created in tandem with a piece of artwork from the exhibition.

A selection of my Art Dolls will be on display in the Glenrose Rehab Center, they are in the glass cases near the cafeteria on the basement level. 20% of each sale is donated to the Glenrose Foundation. Be inspired!

The City of Florence has eight Art Exposed locations in the Old Town area: Veterans Memorial Park, River Roasters, Rain Garden, Interpretive Center East, Gazebo Park Plaza, Secret Garden, Maple Street Park, and Florence Area Chamber of Commerce Lawn.

Judith is interested in the potential for interactions between Art and Science. She and partner Mike enthusiastically support the endeavors of the Perimeter Institute, Waterloo, Ontario. Eight of Judith's paintings have been accepted into the Perimeter Institute's art collection and installed in various venues within the Perimeter.

6 Week Watercolour Journal - Pick your own Theme

Many artists have expressed that they would like to fill a journal with their favourite subject or subjects.
Now's your chance to choose your own Journal Theme and fill your Journal pages with; flowers, birds, houses, people, pets, landscapes, or a mix of everything you love.

In this workshop learn how to organize your journal, choose your own style, transfer your photos, understand basic perspective, sketch with pen and ink, colour mixing and design. Terrie will be there to guide through your journal journey.

This workshop is good for beginners to advanced.

A very special trio show featuring Jenifer Darbellay (Honorary), Heather Edelmeier and Nadine Kelln. Gaze and Connect is the culmination of two year’s work. We are very excited to present our work together, in connection with each other, and with you. This show is the realization of a dream that Jenifer Darbellay and I had. My goal is to celebrate Jen, carry on her creative legacy, to continue to show her art to the world. Proceeds of sales of Jen’s prints and cards will benefit the Vancouver Foundation in her name. Please come and be surrounded by the energy and love that this show will emanate.

This is an unique art walk that take place in the mall of Bonnie Doon. Over 100 artists set up shop in the mall for one glorious weekend and you will find something for everyone. I am excited as it is just before my show at the Gallery so I will have a few old windows, some small 12 x 4 treasures of art and a new selection of art.

I will be having a solo show in the Alcove in the NOA Gallery. This is called Window Shopping!

Having this show to showcase all the old windows that were destined to be destroyed. I wanted to portray the thought of looking through one of these windows to see what is on the other side. What is my view?

The old windows are sourced from across Alberta and brought to the studio, where each one is carefully stripped, sanded, and sometimes torched to reveal its unique character. The glass is removed, cleaned or replaced, then treated with resin on the back or embellished with alcohol ink. Finally, the front is painted with acrylics.

Hello everyone: Planning is underway for the 47th Westman Juried Art Show! Please mark April 26, 2026 on your calendar...the Show will be held at the Killarney United Church Centre. Note that drop-off and pick-up of works in Brandon can be arranged if needed.

REGULATIONS TO REMEMBER:
1. Artists must reside in the Westman Region and be at least 11 years of age as of December 31, 2025.
2. Prizes are restricted to Best in Show, Youth, People’s Choice, and Theme Category Awards.
3. Each artist may enter a maximum of two works, regardless of category.
4. Categories are : Painting-any medium; Fibre Art; Printmaking; Drawing-any medium; Silkscreen; Scratch Art, Mixed Media. All work to be two dimensional.
5. All works submitted to this Juried Show must be original hand-made works of art, completed within the past 12 months. Reference photos must be those of the artist; written permission for use of photos taken by other people must accompany the entry. Works that do not meet these criteria will be disqualified. (If written permission cannot be obtained, do not submit the work.)
6. All entries must comply with Arts West mandates on copyrights, cultural integrity and cultural appropriation (view at www.artswestcouncil.ca).
7. Framing requirements: Adults-all works must be in a solid frame, ready for hanging (includes stretched canvas). Install sturdy hooks and wire on the back, approximately 3 inches below top of frame. Youth- framing not required, all works must be mounted (fixed to a firm support, ie-cardboard backmat).
8. To be eligible for the Travelling Gallery: work must measure no more than 26” by 26” and no less than 11” by 14”, including frame. All works, youth and adult, must be securely framed and wired on the back ready to hang

Trees can be one of the trickiest and most daunting elements to portray in a landscape, yet they are also some of the most essential. Whether they serve as the main focus or play a supporting role, trees bring character, depth and life to your scenes. 

This workshop will guide you in approaching trees with confidence. We'll begin by simplifying their shapes and contours through basic outlines, making them more approachable to paint. You'll work on small, quick studies of tree forms using provided reference photographs and we'll discuss techniques to effectively depict their various features. 

The workshop will help you focus on simplifying tree structures, capturing the unique "gesture" of each tree to convey its essence, and using atmospheric perspective to create depth and realism in your landscapes.
