Add a Purchase Button (Obsolete)

THIS TUTORIAL IS OBSOLETE - NO LONGER APPLICABLE!

PayPal is an online payment processor that allows you to accept credit cards for online purchases. Here is a great overview video to help you better understand how PayPal works and what's possible.

We have made it easier to add PayPal buttons to any page you'd like. However, you first need to setup a PayPal account at PayPal.com (US) or PayPal Canada with your email address. Once you've done this, you can add PayPal buttons to your website using the following:

Add a PayPal Button (to an Image)

  1. Go to the 'Images' tab in your Administration Panel
  2. Click on the 'Pencil' Edit under the Image where you would like to add the PayPal Button
  3. Click in the 'Description' or 'Extra Text' text area
(Please note that some layouts do not display the 'Extra Text' content.)
  4. Above the 'Description' or 'Extra Text' text area is a PayPal icon: PayPal Icon (red circle below in the second row of icons)
PayPal Icon in Content Editor Ribbon
  5. Click on the PayPal icon
  6. Fill in your PayPal information in the dialog box (see below)
    PayPal Button Dialog Box
  7. Select the PayPal button you want and click 'OK'
  8. Once you click 'OK', you will see several boxes in your text area. These represent your PayPal information and button, i.e. you will not see the button in the editor.
  9. Be sure to click the 'Update Image' button to save your changes!

If you now go to your website, you will see the PayPal button where you have added it.

    PayPal Button Dialog Box
  5. Select the PayPal button you want and click 'OK'
  6. Once you click 'OK', you will see several boxes in your text area. These represent your PayPal information and button, i.e. you will not see the button in the editor.
  7. Be sure to click the 'Update Image' button to save your changes!

If you now go to your website, you will see the PayPal button where you have added it.
